About
My name is Ronit Kitei, & I'm the maker behind
RLK Ceramics
I'm a born and raised New Yorker who has been making pottery for over a decade. I love to push the clay to its limits and to play with form & function, creating pieces that meld handbuilding and throwing, and that most importantly bring joy when used.

Frequently
Asked
Questions
Is everything handmade?
Yes, all pieces are handmade with love <3
Do you take custom commissions?
I accept custom commissions on a limited basis - please submit all requests HERE, and I will get back with interest & quote. If I choose to accept your commission, I will work with you through each step of the process to ensure you love your piece or pieces.
How long do custom inquiries generally take?
Making ceramics is a multi-week process, regardless of how simple or detailed the piece. All pots have to go through atleast two firings, requiring atleast 4-5 weeks from start to finish for basic pieces, and potentially longer for more intricate work. If you are requesting a commission for a specific deadline, please submit your request with extra lead time!
Are all kitchen-ware dishwasher / microwave safe?
Yes, unless specifically noted otherwise, all pieces are both dishwasher & microwave safe!
How do you calculate shipping?
I use USPS or UPS for shipping, and price based on weight of the package x distance. Unfortunately, ceramic pieces can be heavy, and require a lot of packaging to ensure they arrive to you safely - which can increase shipping costs.
I do offer local pickup in Greenpoint, Brooklyn for those in the NY area who would like to avoid shipping costs! If you choose local pickup at checkout, I will contact you within 72 Hours to arrange a time.
What is your return / refund policy?
In the rare (but unfortunately possible) case that a piece arrives damaged please contact me ASAP (within 72 hours of receipt). I will not refund items for damage past this timeframe. Please send me an email at ronit@rlkceramics.com, and include photos of the damaged item, the damaged box, and the packaging materials. You will need to submit this to USPS or UPS for an insurance claim, as they often require the recipient to make the claim. Note that you are responsible for providing the correct shipping address information when purchasing - orders will not be refunded due to incorrect shipping information.
